Sample sound issues

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
All my samples when I put them in or click on them to test how they sound are bass boosted to the point I cannot make out what they sound like half the time. Even when I manually turn down the volume they still sound like they've been tone shifted. Has anyone else come into any similar problem or have a fix for this???
Like it just sounds like theyre happening in a huge echoey space with a lot of static

Heres a sample of the sounds I'm getting.

I sounds like you may have a problem with your backend. For all windows OS we recommend to use SDL :
https://lmms.io/wiki/index.php?title=LM ... o_Settings
If that does not help
please post your:
* Name of your Operative System (Windows/ Linux/ Mac) And subtype ('Home' 'Mint' '10.13' aso)
* lmms version
* lmms sound device chosen
https://lmms.io/wiki/index.php?title=LM ... o_Settings
* hardware specification (ram & soundcard is the most important)
* Latency setting

Thank you so much the SDL setting completely solved my issue ^-^
