Problems installing Surge Synth

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
Hi
I've tried to install the Surge Synth on a Windows computer.

Surge is automatically installed in C:\ProgramData and there's no way of choosing another destination folder in the setup menu.

When I look through the files, there seems to be no .dll file, and I cant find Surge when I try to access the files through Vestige inside LMMS.

Anyone experienced similar problems?

That would imho lead to immediately uninstall. That is simply unacceptable!

Huge problem! LMMS support of VSTs depends on DLLs. The DLL must be part of the VSts, if not, lmms cant load that VST.
I suspect that this is a different type of plugin, not a proper VST. I think you should throw it away, and simply find something else..
Are there any online demos of Surge? If so, maybe i can point you in a alternative direction
( If you do not already have Synth1, then get that! )
Thanks for the welcome!

Surge has recently become open source and many seem to like https://surge-synthesizer.github.io/

There are several videos doing demos (e.g. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4kH98TlZ7gQ), but I couldn't find anyone showing the installation process.

But thanks for tip. I'll try Synth1 instead.

Best,
