LMMS crashes when selecting a self-made preset

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
It's a re-occurring problem I've experienced.
Several sounds and presets I've made or edited (Drums, 3xOsc and ZynAddSubFX) can be saved, but as soon as I want to use them, LMMS just crashes. It's frustrating because I don't want to create a new preset for everything.
I use 1.2.0 rc-8.
I have no idea it sounds weird, but what is your operating system ?
Windows 10

It did crash out of the blue more often when I used it on Win 7, though.
Could be that it doesn't like loading presets with a heap of effects on them? Or maybe (Just noticed) that I saved it as a preset after sending it to the mixer?
I want to rule out every possibility :o
The only thing I can think off, windows not being happy with the folder were you safe your presets.

But lets wait for our Windows expert, musikbear.

He knows what folders windows 10 does not like you to use. That should not matter on windows 7 as far as I know though.

It crashing on windows 7 and 10 worries me.
Oh I see. I'm running it from a USB drive, since my laptop flatout refused to download 1.2.0 rc-8 specifically.
I suspect that to be part of the problem, your laptop refusing to download it.

Sound like an anti virus program being to active or its in the UAC settings.

For a test you could try to switch uac off for a bit , but don't gorget to turn it on back again after.

I use 1.2.0 rc-8.
Dont :)
Follow the update guide, and Get the newest stable release:

Let us know the outcome :)
Alright I installed 1.2.2, and I could select the latest preset without problems. Guess that was it.
What's wrong with rc-8 anyway? Simply an outdated version?
RC stants for release candidate.

It's a version not 100% tested yet.

Only people who want to help the LMMS devs should download rc versions.
Then report problem like this, on discord or here.
Oh, okay haha. Thanks for the help.
