Some notes don't align perfectly to the grid

Anything that doesn't fit into other topics goes here!
I've been working on a new project in 5/4 time signature and I noticed something weird. When placing notes in the Piano Roll, some notes don't align perfectly to the grid. Although I didn't changed anything in quantization! Best way to see it, when you zoom in. These are only a few pixels, but they are noticable. Version is the new alpha.

First, in the same toolbar where pencil tool and eraser tool are available, there is a button labelled "Q". Click the arrow next to this Q, and when it asks if you want to quantize lengths or positions, click "Quantize lengths". Then check.
If it still doesn't work, send us the project file and tell us where to look.

That is not correct.
Alignment is for the left end of a note.
What you have here is one note that is 1/196 shorter than you expect.
Are you sure you had the correct length 'loaded' (Use-last-note) as you inserted the shorter note?
Select Use-last-note in the note selector, then Click on one of the correct-lenght note, and retry to insert the note, preferably at the same position, as the shorter occupies now. I think you will see that the note now has the correct length
Hi friends, thank you for your help, but it doesn't seem to work for me. Could you maybe try to recreate this issue and take a look on it? It is very easy to recreate, just set time signature to 5/4 and set some quarter notes like in the image.

Presence of tiny annoying gap confirmed: 1.2.0, 1.3 alpha. 5/4, 7/4, 9/4, 10/4, 11/4, 13/4, 14/4, 15/4. Some visible only at specific levels of zoom.
Also 5/3, 10/3, 11/3

If I had to guess, I'd say there's a small gap between ALL the notes, and on 4/4 or 3/4 you'd typically have grid showing there or something,
but due to aliasing and unlucky coincidence this gap appears more obvious at some instances than others.
Hi Monospace, thank you for checking and confirming the issue. So it seems, it is just a "visual glitch", which appears at specific piano roll grid layouts. I will keep that in mind, when working with unusual time signatures.
I am only guessing here! Someone will need to confirm.

But guys its not alignment, it is the length! Your notes snaps correctly to the grid , eg in the beat-position, but the note-length is incorrect by ~1/196+/-

Note1 has correct grid alignment, but is a tiny fraction short
Note2 has IN-correct grid alignment (..and is also a tad short..)
Bad grid alignment would be a bug, but fractions of 1/196 fails in length, are insignificant -Unless that difference influence the ability to glue notes, but we will have to look at that when we get to implementation of PianoRoll-gluing
Yes, you are absolutely correct, musikbear! I just said "align" in my first post because I didn't know which correct term I should use to describe the issue. I'm certain that Monospace also knows that very well, but he continued, because we both knew what I meant. But yes, you are correct and it is very important to use correct and precise terms, in order to solve technical problems. I will keep it in mind to prevent further miscommunication in the future. :)
I just tried this on Linux (openSUSE tumbleweed)

5/4 and insert 1/4 notes. For me there are no gaps. ( and yes I zoomed in)
