How do we know what ZynAddSubFX version is on LMMS?

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
LMMS Version: 1.3-Alpha

In the AdSynth Edit section there are six types of Modulator Types, one of them is labeled as "Pitch" but in the ZynAddSubFX from Ubuntu's repositories there's no "Pitch" type, however there is a "PWM" type.

Ubuntu 21.10 comes with ZynAddSubFX-3.0.5
File > Copyright, and check the year? Not sure.
pwm is phase width modulation. If you use phase modulation then modulate the phase width then you get a similar result.
I don't understand very well what you mean, though. Can you send a screenshot?
LMMS-1.3-Alpha version: 2002-2009 Nasca O. Paul
Ubuntu-21.10 version: 2002-2009 Nasca O. Paul & 2009-2019 Mark McCurry

Is this implying that the ZynAddSubFX version found in LMMS-1.3 is the version from 2009?
1) Ubuntu-21.10 (ZynAddSubFX-3.0.5):

2) LMMS-1.3-Alpha:

1) PWM Modulator Type:
Shows up in ZynAddSubFX-3.0.5 (Ubuntu 21.10)
Doesn't show up in LMMS-1.3 Alpha

2) Pitch Modulator Type:
Not found in ZynAddSubFX-3.0.5 (Ubuntu 21.10)
Shows up in LMMS-1.3 Alpha but it's unusable/hidden

I don't remember where I heard/read but it looks like the ZynAddSubFX plugin that comes in LMMS is actaully a VST, but I'm not sure if this is the case for LMMS (Windows) version only. Apparently there are some things ZynAddSubFX-VST can't do because they are only available for LV2 plugins.

Does LMMS (Linux) also come with ZynAddSubFX as VST? I ask because I think that Pitch Bending can only be done on certain LV2 plugins.
I don't know about Linux, but there's definitely a windows VST. However, its GUI doesn't work very well within LMMS. However, you can pitch bend from WITHIN LMMS itself, connect the pitch wheel to an LFO or an automation track. Not sure about PWM though. Even 1.2.0 has only PITCH option.
The thing is, LMMS has an older version of ZynAddSubFX, and has always had this version. No updatey.

Yes. We have tried to update zasfx for lmms, but the task was monumental and actually took one dev away 😥
What should have been possible, was to use the dll VST-version, but that does not connect to LMMS' dial-array. All connections are anonymous without labels. I actually have no idea if anything is connected, because i cant see what is connected at all.
a 'fun fact' was told to me from one of the zasfx-devs. He believes that if all permutations was done in zasfx, it would be over 3 mio settings!
By 'done' he does not mean that volume=1 + 'sumthin' would be different from volume=2 + 'sumthin', he are talking real permutations!
My thoughts on enhancement for zasfx is around getting more buttons inserted just as the 7 ones we already have:
Image
Zasfx does not use our ENV-LFO tab, so it should be possible to add ~ 32 buttons in a 4*8 array.
..But witch buttons 😶
Agreeing to that would need a special session in UN ..I am afraid
Forget dial array. THe VST GUI of ZASFX is actually very unusually structured, and given how LMMS loads VST, it doesn't load properly.
Even the current ZASFX, practically no parameters can be automated.
In other words does that mean ZASFX Plugin from LMMS (Linux) is an LV2 format, or a new format made by LMMS?
What are the list of features we can't use on the VST that are available on the LV2 and vice versa?

Also, I noticed Yoshimi Presets can be played on ZASFX and vice versa. Does that mean if I create a preset on the latest ZASFX-3.05, it will work without problems on ZASFX Plugin from LMMS, even though it's a 13 year old version?

I'm still new into the Science of Synthesis and I watched videos about it and most of the people only talked about Wavetable, Additive, Subtractive, FM, and AM.

I'm more into Trance Subgenres and saw this cool Trance oriented plugin called Uniretro VST. I made it my hobby to try and recreate the presets using ZASFX and LMMS as a sequencer but noticed Uniretro comes with more Modulators not found in ZASFX.

It comes with:
PW
PhM

Is PW a type of PWM?
PhM a type of PM?

This is why I was curious as to why ZASFX Plugin from LMMS doesn't come with PWM
PW would be phase width (no modulation. Depending on the synth, this can mean anything from stereo sense to amount of delay, both of which are pretty similar), and PhM phase modulation... I think. Not sure. Since PM stands for Phase modulation and the first two letters of Phase are Ph...
