Do .mkv files work with LMMS?

Most of my music materials are in .mkv, if possible, can I put them into my LMMS project?

MKV-files are similar to MOV-files, a compression of complete multimedia incl. Video.
LMMS cant open anything with video.
You need to convert the files.
Most converts to MP4, but in respect to LMMS-usage, that wont help you.
You best choice is to play the MPK-file, and record the sound-output as Wave-data.
But MPK is compressed, and for that reason it is also lossy, so even though you record in lossless wave, you are still not getting the best quality, because your source is already compressed.
These files types are import-supported in LMMS:
wav, ogg, ds, spx, au, voc, flac
