Audio slowing down on playback

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
Im still new to LMMS, any audio I import to LMMS causes it to slow down during playback how do i fix this :?

Edit: It's also distorted
Are yo using the right note in the audio file processor ?

If it not base-note, i would guess you are using a 'wrong' backend.
If you have Windows, you also should chose SDL in Settings as your backend. Other choices can lead to strange output.

It sounds like this could involve the root note. Look on the keyboard and you'll notice a white square above the note 'A' (in the 4th octave).

If you play a note much higher or lower than that specific note unfortunately it will make it slower/faster (as frequency changes, so does speed) and the sound also becomes more distorted.

This is one reason samples aren't always the best and thus using VSTs is better.

Some samples come in a bank (or library) with various notes and for those you need a sampler that supports loading individual notes. Grace is a good one that does this (here's a quick video): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vYaAh7RL2sE
