Can't drag and drop any instruments

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
Hi everyone,
I downloaded LMMS today because I wanted to learn how to make music. However, I cannot use it. The problem is that i cannot drag and drop any instruments. Whenever I try to do it, next to my cursor appears "this is not allowed" sign in a form of a circle crossed by a straight line. I have no idea how to fix it.

I am using Fedora Workstation 38. LMMS version is 1.3 Alpha (downloaded as an AppImage). My Qmake version is 3.1, and Qt version is 6.4.3.

I'm also dual booting Windows 10, and there everything works perfectly.

Any ideas how can I make it work on linux? Thanks in advance.

My guess is that you have attempted to drag and drop from file-explorer? That is not supported!
You can drag and drop instruments from Sidebar into two components in LMMS:
* Song-editor
* Beat&Bass-editor
Both Instruments and Presets can be drag and drop'ed, but only from Sidebar! -however Presets can also be contest-allocated.
Just right-click any preset in the collection MyPresets in Sidebar, and select the allocation you want from the options.
Read about Sidebar and the collections here:
