VST - test and tips

It's a while since I posted in these parts. Am I right in thinking that the only version of LMMS which works with VST plugins is the Windows bundle? [Maybe also the Linux version?] I use a Mac mostly, and as I recall there were differences between the Windows versions and the Mac one. Also, does LMMS now work with VST3s?

My Mac does have some VSTs and VST3s installed - so would my Mac version of LMMS pick those up?

They do work with a few bits of software which runs on my Mac - such as MuseScore 4.

Well, directly through the VST-container, yes -That is correct, however
In Linux VSTs works with WINE installed.
In MAC you can use a middlelayer, but i am not knowledgeable in MAC at all

Also, does LMMS now work with VST3s?

Only through a middlelayer. Elements is one that can work as host. A topend pc is needed to avoid lag.
