Ear-rape bass boost problem

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
I'm new to Lmms and producing in general. I've only made two trash songs in the past using bandlab and soundtrap (both for school).

in my new lmms project my song sounds really bass boosted in the start, almost ear-rape-ish. I've found that i'm also hearing sounds i didn't even put in (fits in and even sounds good) https://19216801.onl/ https://routerlogin.uno/ . I'm thinking that it might have to with the bass boosted issue.

Does anyone have any experience with this? I'll gladly send my project, but i don't know how yet.

What i think you have is excessive loudness that makes resonance artefacts. They can sound really amassing, but they ruin frequencies for other instruments.
The way to 'spot' the problem is that your output display shows the waveshape in red, and also that your meeter in mixer for the attached track overshoots in red too.
It is called Clipping
There are several ways to get around this issue.
The simplest way is to insert a Limiter on the FX-tab of the instrument, you may even be able to preserve the resonance-sound -at least to some degree, but you wont have the reds.
Limiters can however mess with frequencies that you want to keep clean.
Another more subtle, but also more work-intensive method is to insert an equelizer on FX-tab and work through the frequencies-bands and eliminate the red-clips that way.
It is recommended to use a good frequency monitor on the Master-FX to monitor this fiddeling
SPAN is a good choice
Try doing this first, and if you still cant get the issue under control, we can give your project a look
