A way for an even sound on different key ranges on synths?
The lower notes tend to sound too muddy, and/or the higher notes too shrill or even piercing, and the okay sounding range to be just of few keys. And then there is also the issue of the volume being uneven across the keys.

That type of artefact could be caused by excessive resonance. When you add reso -in some VSTs also called Q, some notes shape will 'catch up' with them self, and become very loud, some shapes will distribute in between, and come out very low.
The best thing to do is to lower resonance until you have a uniform note-expression, but sometimes the reso output is wanted, and then it can be a possibility to use Equalizers EQs and dampen some of the shrill frequencies, even enhance some of the dampened.
That can be quite a job, and beware not to alter the Q-value at all, because then you can start over..
