A: No LMMS cant record sound

Q: Has anyone had any success bringing in tracks from Audacity or vica versa?
A: Yes LMMS support WAVE and OGG

Q: Would Audacity be the way to go for projects with real instruments and synths?
A: To record your HW Synth of manually played guitar? Yes.

Q: Are there any YouTube tutorials you recommend for Audacity or LMMS?
A: Close to millions..., My 100+ can be found in signature
