Clone track issues

Hi, i am having a problem with cloning tracks of rhythm/bass.

I do a clone and modify the instrument in the cloned track, then i realize that the origlinal track also have been modify , is that a bug, is the intended functionality or there is a option some where that i miss to make the clone independent from the original.

Im using Lmms 1.2.2 in debian sid.

Hi, i have downloaded the appimage 1.2.2 from the link and have the same bug.

To reproduce.

1. push Add rhythm/bass button.
2. At editor do some pattern.
3. Clone the rhythm/bass.
4. Open the instrument and edit something, the envelop, length, etc.
or just
4. Add new instrument to the track.

Compare the sound in the sound of the original rhythm/bass with the clone rhythm/bass, they should be exactly the same, or compare that the original also have a new intrument.

I have tested with the default kicker when rhythm/bass added, also i have delete the defalt and added a bitinvader and/or tripleoscilator.

No!
If you do as you write in the bullet-list, then the two instruments are different from each other!
You clone (3) before you make changes (4).
A Cloned instrument is a copy of the orr. one, but it is only identical until you make an edit of either the orr. or the clone.
After that edit, they are not identical.
Did you explain it wrongly in your list?

As you can see in this picture neither the pattern in Pattern-editor, nor the GUI-settings (Gain etc) are identical in the orr Kicker compared with the edited clone



I am a bit confused because i thought you wanted two variations of one instrument, because you orr. wrote:

Eg you clone, make an edit in the clone, and then the orr instrument is ALSO edited, even though you have NOT touched it

Thanks for following my issue, im now i bit confused to, i can tell what i expect when i clone the track from the main editor not the rhythm/bass editor (i think here is the confusion), of course i use the rhythm/bass editor when i want to edit the cloned track.

1. The original and the cloned are exactly the same in the main editor, (work as expected).
2. I can edit the cloned track in any way without affecting the original. (Not working as expected).

This also made me think, maybe i can not have 2 rhythm/bass tracks in the main editor?
