How to use VST3 plugins in LMMS?

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
Hello everyone, run 3

I'm a beginner user of LMMS and I'm wondering how to use VST3 plugins in LMMS. I have some VST3 plugins that I want to use in my projects, but I can't seem to load them in LMMS. I have tried using the VeSTige instrument and the Carla Rack FX, but they only recognize VST2 plugins. I have also tried using the LinVst3 wrapper, but it doesn't work either. Is there any way to use VST3 plugins in LMMS? Or do I have to convert them to VST2 somehow? I'm using LMMS 1.3.0 alpha on Windows 10. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

You can use an external VST host, like Carla or Minihost module, to load the VST3 plugins, then connect the LMMS to the host via a virtual audio cable or loopback driver. This method allows you to route the audio output from the host with the VST3 plugins into the LMMS. The setup can be a bit complicated, but it allows you to use the VST3 plugins indirectly.
