LINUX-MINT: Change owner of folder "Samples" from Root

Hi,

I'd like to export my samples made in Audacity into to Sample folder, but I'm not allowed to do so, because the owner is root.
My Linux-Mint User is Member of the group root.
Any ideas how I can get access to this folder (or any other usefull folder)? /usr/share/lmms/samples
LMMS Version 1.2.2.
