"no-length-note"s are a special kind of notes, only made by the Beat-Editor, They are special because they has a fixed size (and a different colour). If you 'record' notes that you make by pressing keys on your keyboard, they will not be "no-length-note"s, they will just be short-notes, and they can be resized to any size. it is easier to grab short notes if they are magnified so change the x-scale First, Then mark all notes as selected, and and just grab one of the selected notes and drag to any length.
