Debian 12 : LMMS generates a lot of xruns -Expert needed

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
Hi all,
I'm on Debian 12 and I installed Jack to work with my soundcard (UMC204HD) and Linux audio applications.
I set the Jack sample rate parameter to 44100 and the frame/period to 256.
When I run applications such as Ardour 7 for instance, everything is ok. I have some xruns every now and then but it's acceptable.
Now when I run LMMS (v 1.2.2) I have a lot of xruns right from the start, even without doing anything with the application.
The audio interface parameter is set to JACK audio Connection Kit.
In Jack I tried to increase the frame/period value, but nothing changed.

What can I do to stop LMMS to generate xruns ?

I have marked your issue for Linux-expertise. Hope someone chimes in.
