VST effect MAutoPitch freezes mouse in LMMS 1.3

Hello, I have a problem. Whenever I try to use MAutoPitch plugin in LMMS 1.3, it locks up the mouse so that you cannot click (clicks seem to get through to the xserver as buckle keyboard/mouse sfx play, but they don't get to the apps). I am not sure if it's due to deficiencies in LMMS or wine.

The only "fix" is to go to the TTY and kill LMMS. Then if I switch back to the graphical session, the mouse works. But obviously that's not a fix at all as I lose all my work. Haven't tried with 1.2.2 yet, but I doubt it would be any different.
