Hey folks,
I've recently stumbled across the "linux studio plugins project" and they look awesome and I hope that I get along with some of them much better than what is in lmms by default (like visually seeing what the compressor does, helping me learn and understand my setting changes better).
I've installed both lmms and the lsp-plugins via my package manager on my NixOS stable install.
In the settings I've set the path to where the vst files can be found correctly (also verified by pointing carla to it, that finds all the plugins in there as well), when I then add an effect, it finds the newly installed plugins, but they are all just of the LADSPA type, not a single effect plugin of the type vst shows up in the list. I can "use" those plugins, but the dials are all not really well ordered and it lacks the main reason I wanted to try these plugins, to get visual feedback to improve my understanding.
Any advice on how to make the vst version show up in a way that I can use the plugin's UI?
