doesn't play whole note/bar

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
Hmm, I have 256 frames (latency 5.8) in the buffer settings, I've tried playing around itth the buffer settings, but no change.

I have version 1.0.0, maybe this is a bug that has been fixed in 1.0.2, but I can not upgrade it, because I'm running linux mint 15, that has reached end of life, and I were waiting to upgrade to mint 17 the end of this month.

I'll try running kx studio or something in the virtual machine later today, and see if it makes any diference.

thank you all for trying to help!

Lars
works on win xp too.
I have no idea why you have this issue :/ sorry..

Yes, that's the arpeggio setting I were talking about too, so it's not what causes the problem.
Also tried to insert a new 3oc, but, it's the same...

I've attached a simple three note project.

thanks again!

Lars
I just tried your file, ( I am on Linux) but it works like it should for me.
Hi all,

I'm encountering the exact same problem. It's really weird.
When I first installed LMMS from the Ubuntu 14.04 repo, the problem did not occur, but as that package seems to be broken in some places, I moved to the kxstudios version, and now that...
I noticed that there is some weird behaviour when playing a not in the piano roll editor (apart from only playing about 3/4 of the bar): The second time the note is played (when the track starts again from the beginning), the sound is different from the first time. That certainly shouldn't be the case, I think. Maybe there is a clue for someone?

As an aside, I also tried building from the github source, but after some trouble with missing packages, when the installation finally succeeded, all the instruments/plugins were missing. Has that problem happened to anyone else? Is there something I could do?

I'm a little frustrated right now because LMMS seems to be awesome and I just can't seem to make it work the way it should.
I just noticed that when I open a project from the old days when I hadn't moved to the kxstudios version (so, one week ago), the problem does not occur, even when I add new instruments. Seems like I'm going to just open an older project and do "Save as..." for the time being. If anyone does have an idea that would still be great, though. Or, of course, if the folks responsible for the Ubuntu repos add an updated/fixed package.

That is interesting! It point to one of two scenarios.
1) the current kx-ver. process identical xml different from earlier.
2) current xml is different from earlier
I think 1 is most likely, but Could you zip one of those projects, that DO work correct, and one that do NOT and upload them? I would like to compare them, and scratch '2' .. but this is weird

Sure, here you go. Thanks a lot for having a look at this! And also for your video tutorials, I'm watching one of them right now :)

... and yet another update on this: If I change the Tempo of the Song, the problem is gone. It appears only with a new project when the tempo hasn't been changed yet. Changing back to 140 bpm is still fine.
I guess it doesn't have anything to do with the xml files. But now that I realised how easy it is to solve this, I almost don't care anymore.
