Hi musikbear,

I tried the 64-bit version of 0.4.8 on the same Windows 7 PC and had the same problem - it gives the error when I try to load VSTs through Vestige. I was curious, do you know when 0.4.9 will be released? This looks like a really cool program and I am itching to try it. Of course I would never complain if it were even a year from now, because I am so grateful that a piece of software of this quality is FREE! I was astounded to find out about something like this.

Does project LMMS take donations? You guys are providing something really cool to the public free of charge, that's incredible. I can see myself really enjoying this program once the VST bug is worked out.

I got VSTs working again in Windows 7 64-bit using LMMS 0.4.8. I ran LMMS in Windows XP compatibility mode, that seemed to fix it!

Try this:
1) Close LMMS entirely. Right click the lmms.exe file, click Properties.
2) Go to the Compatibility tab. Check the Run this program in compatibility mode check box.
3) Select Windows XP (Service Pack 3) in the pulldown menu. Click OK.
4) Open LMMS then try loading a VST!
