clicking noise at end of samples

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
So use the start-end-selection in AudioFileProcessor

And set those to the 0 dB-line. That should remove your artifact.
Hello, I'm new to lmms and have no prior knowledge of wave functions. I'm trying to use a sample called "boom.ds" (it came installed with lmms and can be found through: my samples>Drumsynth>electro) and keep getting a clicking noise at the end of samples, I understand what you are saying about making the endpoint at 0 dB, but this is incredibly hard to do when you want to make a noise cut off halfway through playing.
for reference, the wave is triangular and looks somewhat like this:

I've tried altering the attack on audio file processor but with no such luck. any tips?

As you can see, i marked the end, because that where your issue comes from!
You releases before the end of the sample!
By this i mean you most use a longer note with this sample!

If your note only has the length as the red line, then you can see that the sample is 'released' in an unsafe position.
This is very common for a lot of longer samples, the note must play for the duration of the sample. I Beat&bass-editor, this is suppose to be controlled by LMMS, but that functionality is flawed, for samples over 500 ms ..afair
Your boom.ds is 843 ms
IF you use boom.ds in Beat&bass-editor, You will have to open the Beat&bass-line in piano-roll (context-menu) and use longer notes!
