My lmms goes slow

Ok i downloaded 0.4.9 and it takes 10 minutes to start but now i can actually use it,When before it would freeze and not respond.I am trying to make my own music for my movies.

you should not revert to 0.4.9 That release is nothing, compared to current release.

I have some ideas, but they are somewhat elaborate, so i would like you to do simple stuff first:
Backup your presets, and projects!
With the lmms uninstaller: Uninstall !
Then sh+del ALL parts of the folder-structure, that contained lmms
Make a reg-scan for 'lmms'
If you do not find any entries, all is well
Then just dl a fresh new 1.0.3 and install that, do not use themes.
If you DO find entries.. then the elaborate stuff is next..

If LMMS is taking ten minutes to start, I'm thinking that your computer is not very powerful. Go to your control panel > System and Security > System. Look for the area under "System" and tell us what it says. If you'd rather take a screenshot, that works too. I'm looking for your processor name and GHz, as well as your RAM.

The only part of this message I agree with is that the 0.4.x series is not worth much compared to current releases. I think that the rest is overkill and not necessary, especially if it isn't the installation that is the problem.Once we determine that it isn't your PC that is the problem, we can look at if LMMS is the problem.

Ok here is your picture.And i will try to get a newer version that i can use.I will also make sure that i deleted everything first.

Alright thank you for your help it works like new and now i use 1.0.3.

Wait, you fixed it? How?

Well it was easy.I used the uninstall.exe and made sure everything including theme,my own samples,and the installer.Re downloaded it and then it worked like new.There are two lmms folders make sure you delete both otherwise it should not work.And don't use themes again and that fixed mine.

Interesting - I use a theme with no problems. Oh well, I'm happy you got it working!

What i think actually happened was when i put one on my lmms had a error and i could only pick .jpg when i was supposed to pick a folder.So then i had a weird background.Then that is when i uninstalled it and it went slow.But i like the stock stuff better anyway.

yes never have more than one lmms installation. I had a couple at one time, and flew into a mist of issues
My own fault intirely
