Nevermind, it still crashes even when Skype is not running, although maybe less often.

dont think this is a 'nwm' situation. I would like to give you a better experience with lmms, and it is not normal for lmms to be crash-prone. Lmms is actually really stable, now.
Can you 'zoom' in on the situation where it crashes for you- eg What task(s) are you performing, when you have these crashes?

I too have the same program, and it mostly happens when using VST plugins. See my other thread in the same section.

Indeed, my instability problems arise mostly when I'm fiddling with VST. I have tried closing all non-essential proccesses and loaded only Synth1 64bit (which is known for its stability). It still crashes after a few seconds of button pressing. It seems to be that the actual responsible is the "RemoteVSTPlugin.exe".
I'm currently running on Windows 7 64bit. Can I give any further information that may help find the cause of the crashing?

very odd indeed.
I can tell you that i can run 10 instances of synth1 on my 2 core 2 gb xp pc..
And with next to nothing cpu usage...
Have you been running your pc really long time, without a re-boot?
-eg only used 'sleep' and not shut-down? Then 'problems' accumulates.
please
post your:
* lmms vers
* hardware specification (ram & soundcard is the most imortant)
* lmms sound device chosen
* if any -screenshots of error
and if you have a file with synt1, that often fails, the please attach the mmp either here or in a pm to me

I'd actually say LMMS is unstable. It can crash upon any random activity, such as switching FX channels, etc. from my experience.
