Beethoven-ish? If so, yes.
Be aware that I'm not all that familiar with music terms, but what's a hook? Do you mean I can do more than just that note? I believe I can.

.. something went haywire with my 'ish-ing' of your piece - "Bach.. ish " thats the correct ref. :P
Bach was all organ, ludvig b, hes more piano and peanuts, of cause :D
Ah. Okay.
Yes it dose sound a little Bach-ish, But with me, sometimes my education get's in the way of my imagination..
But everyone is inspired to write music, from different sources. You can still hear the old masters work in a lot of modern day music.
I thought I had already responded. But here it is. I like it.

@ Eino, the way I solve this is, is doing a kind of jam. Of course I then end up with out of scale notes, but that's something I fix afterwards in lmms.
I can imagine this prob wont work for you, because you know how to play.
Here's a loop sample of what I'm going to be working on in full scale.

I have put it on Newgrounds because it has a better player for loops.
I like it. :D
I added in 27 more seconds into the loop. A few things adjusted.
It's slowly building into a good loop. I wonder if it should be a loop?
..... Nah.
I polished up and improved a bit(I hope) on Chamber of the Ominous.

I'd like to hear what you think of it now.
