I found the flaw...
Here it is: Win 64 VST (1698 Mb)
1 6 9 8 Mb!
Noo.. that will be a problem

I normally think of vst as being something on the 'fat' side, if they ~100+ Mb
1 6 9 8 is right-out ridiculous

There are download links in the blue boxes for both Windows and Mac to both the full packaged orchestral VST and individual instruments. I hope this can help in some way.

Try using the most recent RC version of LMMS. It has a lot of bug fixes. Kontakt now works in the version I'm using.

Yes its not fun when something isent working, but 'ruin' .. Is that because you think you have lost your work?
You have not!
Just follow these simple guidelines:

-and you can rescue your project with nothing lost, except you need to use different vst's
For piano try MDA-Piano http://mda.smartelectronix.com/synths.htm
It is very small in size, and you can just copy it to your folder. -Eg NO installation! Further its a quite good piano-instrument, so it is a win win

Bass.. well there are a multitude in the vanilla installation, but you may like to enhance them as here:
