but how to upload?
You can attach mmpz files here, or just upload on like tinyuploads, but it must be winzip, not tar or gzip etc.

Do you have Synth1
That is not only our 'proof-of-concept-synth' it is also one of the best you can get!
First get that- You will never regret it!
Obs that you need to install it!
You can find several videos on my youTube channel (link in signature) that addresses Synth1
http://mda.smartelectronix.com/synths.htm

I just tried the last Beta 1.2 version on Linux Mint. Works correctly, and I'm excited that Vestige is available in Linux now.

I can open Synth1 and it runs, however I'm having other difficulties when I open a preset bank, the window with the preset table is semi-transparent and the preset names are not shown.

Previously I used Synth1 on a windows environment with the VST installed there (in another DAW). I now just copied the vst folder to my Linux environment. Maybe I need to install the Synth1 vst in Linux on another way? Maybe I'll have to load the preset banks another way?

Will try again later... anyone else having difficulties with that?

Doesn't work for me here (?!). No upload option shown in this board. "Upload attachment" is only shown in the suggestions board.

OK, I did it this way.

test1.mmpz: http://s000.tinyupload.com/?file_id=287 ... 4138146649
test2.mmpz: http://s000.tinyupload.com/?file_id=605 ... 1194577788

Created using standard startup, added vestige, started the helm plugin within vestige, selected preset "CM Diddly", added three notes to the Helm track via the piano roll, closed helm GUI (test1 before adding the notes, test2 after), closed vestige, played (test) - everything fine, saved the file.

I thought that I have a good (playing "CM Diddly") and a bad one (playing default preset "CM Kleer Arp"). Yesterday, test1 was the ugly duckling and test2 was fine. Today, I found out that both sometimes work correctly and sometimes not. Although I always restarted lmms and opened the files in the same way. Very weird. Looks like somebody added a randomizer to lmms (or to the plugins or to wine ...) ;-).

Looks to be more complicated, but I hope this can help.

I know, but try. Anyway, I better should demonstrate it with the mentioned "green labelled" DSK VSTi or with DVS Guitar (same experience). Maybe on one of the next days.

Talking about helm (off topic). The "do not work" status is surprising for me. The 0.9 version runs on my computers on Windows as well as on Linux. The only Problem is the one described above.

OK, let's try it with this one using DSK ElectricGuitarZ: http://s000.tinyupload.com/?file_id=008 ... 2093233768

Started lmms, added vestige, started DSK Electric GuitarZ, selected instrument 2 (Valve), closed DSK GUI and vestige, added 3 notes, played (test) = Valve, saved.

Restarted lmms, opened test3, played = Strat Marshall (default), but ... If I open the DSK GUI it shows the Valve, but still it plays the Strat Marshall. Strange.

I added Helm, because it did not preserve settings, eg et fail the 5 point-test

I will examine your file.

True - settings are lost.
I will add the vst to the no-go list. T.y. for reporting!
