This sometimes happens to me too, although Nothing crashes.
Restarting lmms solves it always. Sometimes waiting helps too.
im using the old `1.1.3 version that is in Ubuntu repository. None of the new versions have worked for me, rc6 is the best so far but still issues. Restarting LMMS doesnt help most times, it is garbled output as soon as project loads. If i start a new project then sound comes back fine & reload my project & sound is fvckd. just gotta wait till it gets better, which is taking longer & longer ... Ive just sat here for about 5 or 6 hours andf only managed to write 8 bars of melody
**edit this is recently that it is behaving like this, previously restarting would help

Have you tried the APP-image?
I believe we had that since RC4 and newer

I saw your reply in another thread about using SDL in sound settings instead of ALSA ...seems to have sorted my issues out ,...cant make it crash now at all

actually seems to have solved the program crashing in general? I can even save the project during playback the { forbidden zone } lolol.... I'm stoked as, wrote 2 tracks already to celebrate hehehe
