Like the 909 kick better then the kick from the original. It starts to sound like something I can live with.
It needs some eq on the piano for sound cloud. bit less highend prob.

I like the bass sound you used too.
But one thing I took notice of, is the bass melody. So I compared yours to the original
Kraze track. And I noticed, that both bass melodies are close, but have slightly different melodies.

I hear something different, but don't have a clue on what is different.

Then I might have to record it again, from my midi controller while playing along, because then the timing must be close but no cigar.
I am expecting that to be the problem.

I also hear the first note slightly different, but think that the way the string of the guitar is touched on that first note, not something we can do in lmms ?

Listening at a lower speed with vlc media player, I start to wonder again.

The first note or is it those first two notes.
Or just allot of delay and or reverb?

Looks like there are some notes, that just w-o-r-k when they are played in succession!

and im (next to) positively sure that ist played as di-ads, not tri-ads, so only 1. and 3. note in the chord!

But then why/ how does it go da + dum? I fear that is a difference from how the string is hit! Perhaps as simple as upward v. downwards -That we cant do in lmms- at least not with one layer, maby whats needed is 2 bass-instruments, one that goes 'da' and one for the 'dum'
Also, im rather sure 1/16 is to broad, im almost sure that 1/32 or even 1/64 spacing is used

What I mean with first and second piano part.

Track starts with first part, then second part starts at 0.47 min:
That part totally seems to do what the bassline does, with a rest were you can "only" hear the bassline.
It seems to be three notes at least for the piano. 123 123 123 123

I need more hints on the bowie part, and I like quizzes like this.

The dadum part is the thing causing me the most trouble, besides the timing.
What the fuck is going on ? Sounds like some guitar thingy, we cant do in lmms as you said.
But you're two tracks approach might be the answer.

Tried using different notes, but that's definitely not it.

Gonna ask on Linux musician forums, they might know a solution for the dadum part.
Some there record live music, so I am hoping some guitar player knows a trick on how to do this in a Daw. ( without recording it )
