I have the same issue
the Insert key works just fine in other applications.
My project is saved as mmpz.
I have imported a MIDI track, about the ONLY keyboard shortcut that works in piano roll or song editor is the Home key...(ah, sorry, the arrow keys also work too to scroll)... but to insert/delete a bar? Nope... nothing. Nada. Zip.
First we need to subtract any oddities that could be caused by the midi. Some midi-files can be strange.
Because of that, i want you to -cold-boot-restart your pc.
Open lmms, and open the test-project:
projects\demos\Greippi - Krem Kaakkuja (SecondFlight Remix).mmpz
First we will attempt to move the whole song, so it starts on Bar10:
Press HOME to Move the
play-head to song-editor 0-bar position
Hold SH
press INSert
For every press on INSert all segments of the song will jump one bar to the right!
Do that 10 times
Now the song will start at bar 10
2. Task : Make the song start at bar5
Press HOME to Move the
play-head to song-editor 0-bar position
Hold SH
press DELete
For every press on DELete all segments of the song will jump one bar to the left!
Do that 5 times
Now the song will start at bar 5
Does that not work on your pc?
