Vestige is acting out....

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
Thanks so much, really!! It's not a problem at all, I appreciate any help whenever c:

Moving it around: no flashing, just black. When I can get some parts to show up, those parts remain the same.
Closing all other windows: remains black, but clicking around seems to let me "show" more button pieces than before. Don't know if it's a coincidence.
Attempt 2: Now clicking won't let be show any bits anymore. I can see a small corner the song editor was covering up before. Not even enough to read the text that says "Waveform" on the GUI, though.
Maximizing and uncovering: A small little strip showed up on the top. Clicking doesn't do anything.
Attempt 2: Nada. All black. Clicking doesn't work.
Context menu: is that the preset options dropdown? I can see the dropdown options if I can find it. (Okay I just researched it haha so the context menu only gives me the options to Move or Size, not maximize. Sizing doesn't change anything.)
ohh this is SO strange
on xp + 113 i get
Image
And i can toggle to UI up and down just as i want to.. :/
I really cant understand why you get this problem at all, unless you have a graphic error on your system.
Are you familiar with directx
If you uses the run command and enter dxdiag, you get to test page for your system. Try to test graphic, and see if all works correctly
...But if you dont have any other issues with other programs, i doubt anything is wrong
This one is hard :/
If your graphic is without faults, then i think the only thing to try is to de-install your current LMMS, download a new 1.1.3 pack, and re-install
Remember to safety-copy your own work first (better than being sad afterwards..).
Let us know how it went
No apparent issues with the graphics card, but I did spot something - it seems I only had 1GB of RAM. Oops :P
I bumped it up to 4GB, and the GUI shows up, but I can't see the knobs turning now. I'll test out some other RAM changes to see if that helps!
came think of..
Have you full hardware acceleration
