belive me, all the daw connets internet frequently, such as fl studio, cakewalk, also lmms vst plugin, use privatefirewall 7.0 and turn on the notifacation of connets ,you may suprise ,every few seconds they connet to the internet.

The group behind audacity did listen to the user-reactions, and do not collect personal data anymore afaik. Audacity should be safe to use now.
If you like to read more around the muhaaa that should be ok now, google this "is audacity safe to use 2024"
I cant see any reason for commenting on this so it will be locked.
