Reggae could use some feedback

Just moved the cowbell, much better, but now I wonder about deleting another sound.

For now I let it rest, but some fine tuning is needed. thank you.
Added a lot of reverb to the cowbell. :P

Deleted one track, and replaced it with the cowbell. I think this change makes it better.
Also lowered the number of cowbell hits by 50%.

Third bar of the melody, is now a bit different. And this slightly different part is repeated when the melody hits the third and final time.

It ends abrupt, but better then before.

I am totally happy with it now, thank you guys. Its now 4 minutes and 19 sec.

And I have new follower. He uses the famous reggae colors in his logo. I take that as a compliment. :)

And then the guy from the tutorial replied. ( I had thanked him for the tutorial, and posted my creation)

I like to share his reply with you guys:
That’s pretty good Guus. You’ve got an ear for digi-reggae! Particularly like the echoey rim-shots. The next thing I would look into is making some drum rolls and variations. In fact, I might do a mini-tutorial on it… one day…

And now something is bothering me.

How to make reggae drum-rolls in lmms ? So what else to do then listen to reggae.

I like the one which is at the start of peter tosh - johhny be good. But with reggae an general its not really that fast.

What I like about life versions, it often far easier to distinguish between the different instruments.

Peter tosh is not just holding a mike lol.
I have added some kind of drum roll, not happy about it yet, but its progress.

Again adding reverb helps it sound more reggae. Right now I have a tom and a snare.

Been watching vids, of drummers.
After doing a lot of work, but not really chancing the number, I am happy with the result.

Changed one sound with which I was not happy.
Made transitions, and could use some feedback on that.
Not sure if this is what the tutorial guy had in mind, but I made it less repetitive, and did add a bit of drum rolls. ( for the transitions )
Also changed the bass line a bit, and added a bit to the piano part.
Composition wise, this might be my best track.

That i a good track. The reggae rhythm is perfect, and you has really nice instruments that fits. I felt the track would be perfect for a reggae rap !
Thank you, and lol at rap. Would be awesome though if Ice Cube, Dr Dre, Ice T and or Snoop Dog, would rap to it. :)

Or maybe the teacher KRS ONE. :P ( Knowledge Reigns Supreme Over Nearly Everybody)

Its funny I found out, reggae is far more sensitive to the instruments used, you cant really just use any instruments and you need a lot of reverb.
I think I ended up with more tracks with reverb then tracks without.

While listening to it again, I have to agree on the rap part. My love for hip hop (not that R&b shit) probably caused that.
Let me make clear though, that I do like the real Rhythm and Blues.
Listen to some Jah Cure, Tarrus Riley, Romaine Virgo.....follow don corleonie for some sick reggae beat...most of the instrumentals for modern reggae beat and even the one drops are on youtube as well.... also Chronixx and Protoje is sick as well.. as for producers, don corleonie and stephen di genius (son of legendary freddy mcgregor) ....ur beat is nice as well bro, kepp it up
