uploading audio into lmms

I am probably being really clueless here, but once I have loaded a short WAV file into the AudioFileProcessor, now what do I do? I was presuming that I could save it into "My samples" but I do not see how I can do so.

I read this as if you have made an instrument-preset from a audio-file, and now you like to save that
Is that correct?

all lmms Instrument-ui's has this basic top panel:
VOL PAN PITCH FX -and the the button that you use to save as a new preset !
That is the button you use, and you should save the preset in AFP-preset-folder.

Hi, I am completely new to this. I have a big wav file that i want to edit, but every time i try to import the file lmms freezes on me. Can anyone help me?

LMMS will play big .wav files using Sample Player but it is not the program to use for editing audio files, particularly not big/long .wav files. For editing audio I would suggest getting a (free) copy of Audacity http://www.audacityteam.org/ and using that instead.
