Yes on both account
You need written permission from the artist if the music is not released as CC, and with CC you have several restiction-options
CC0 is totally free for all.

Ok awesome that's good to know :)

(Sometime I want to put up a label, get it popular [which is a lot harder than it looks] and help some of the music creators here get noticed :) and etc. but I didn't wanna interfere with any copyright by just putting on a famous song that I didn't ask permission for.)

so for a recap: I can't go around just posting random songs, correct? (Even if I'm not making money off of it. atm I don't feel like it :P)

I think this article will help you understand Youtube music channels. It certainly helped me, as I had no idea on how to approach them, how to submit a track, etc.
