I would like to add some vocals. Please explain how.

is the absolute worst part of lmms. Sample-track is simply bad.
but its either that of AFP. With AFP you have a better 'tool', but it is still a drag to use long audio-files in lmms

Ah man, I need to work with long verses. Do you think copying a project to Audacity and recording vocals there would work?

if you need to record, you do need to use a different program, and audacity is a good choice. LMMS cant record any sound at all, but the problem with sample-tracks, is that they has definite-length meaning that they only replay from pos0!
That is a huge problem, when working with recorded samples, so all that is best done in audacity

I've been writing music for a project that I intended to keep to myself. I needed a vocal sample for one of the tracks and I resorted to a sample from Night of the Living Dead when I couldn't think of anything else. A fan video called All Messed Up resulted.

I also made a 'b-side' called Be Kind Please Rewind.

I don't know what happened there. Both videos are public and they worked for me after I signed out. Have another go.
