well, surfing the web at the end I found this forum
https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=560297

KVRaudio has been hosting other files that has been used in LMMS. This is something we in LMMS need to look into. Thanks for info!

I don't know how much KVRaudio has to do with it... this wrapper was created by a forum user (like me) for another company, as he wrote in his comment

Load VST3 files on Linux with Carla (after installing Carla)

Assuming this thread is about loading VST3 files, it works on Linux by installing Carla (from repo), and then within LMMS using either Carla Rack or Carla Patchbay. I remember somebody demonstrated somewhere how to use Carla Patchbay, but I was able to use the Rack. I tested using Charlatan3.VST3

I realise that this isn't a solution for MsWindows users, but on Manjaro XFCE/MATE this works fine.
Using Carla is beyond the scope of LMMS but it does work if you learn how to use Carla.
It's not may favorite way of working, but it's better than nothing.

This is what my pacman shows for Carla availability: (April 2025)

Code: Select all

sudo pacman -Ss carla
extra/carla 2.5.9-1 (pro-audio)
    Audio Plugin Host
