I'm surprised there have not the possibility to create a simply midi track like in other daws/sequencers...
Yeah it's not fair to compare LMMS to commercial projects, but I can't imagine a sequencer without these simple midi tracks... to send notes, CCs, etc

Sequencing some hardware from LMMS seems to be a little tricker for me.
Too bad because, imo and comparing to others open source DAWs, LMMS got the best UI and some useful tools...

A midi-out work around is to load an empty AudioFileProcessor (AFP) from the sidebar instrument tab. Without a sample loaded, it will behave as a midi out track (minus CCs, I believe) as long as you set up its midi out in the midi tab.
