The only tip I can give, is watch youtube vids of people making trap.

I am doing the same for trance, because I fail to make real trance yet. The melody how ever simple seems very important. Its the part tht makes it trap or trance it seems. Bassline and drums are less important.

As I had the theory course of the Silver achievement badge (as it is called in Austria, there are bronze, silver and gold) behind me, I'm not so bad in music theory. Practically I close it off in June, so I have to practice a lot!
But anyway, I'll be watching the video, maybe there's something I did not know: D
