, there has been instances of people being sued because of eg, a certain chord progression or a similar melody. just be careful is my advice, most of us use lmms to make music and make ourselves happy and people, i would hate to be sued because i didn't get permission from a big player!

FYI, Chord progressions can't be copyrighted. Melodies can, and having stuff like an extra half note of the same key to differentiate is not gonna cut it.

Guys, I think it's safe to say this:
Leche did NOT violate any copyright rules. He simply used the vocals and made his own melodies and beats from scratch, which is sure as hell tough to do. I applaud him for that! Let's refrain from thread derailment and focus on his song. Bottom line, he isn't violating anything.

I'm also trying to use the bass that's used in The Weeknd-The Hills but i can't figure out how i can make that...
