Tbh, this sounds like a remix to me. A cover is something more like a remake. Yes there is Variety in Production, but not to much to the song structure. A bootleg often speeds up the bpm and/or changes the pitch of the song. Sometimes the percussion. Again the song structure is pretty much the same. We've narrowed it down to what I believe it to be.

A remix. (nice track btw)
Leche, remix (almost always in professional musicians' works) is a piece with changed structure, but cover can be with the same structure. Just listen to remixes were done by Does It Offend You, Yeah?, Knife Party, and so one, and then listen to covers done by other artists.

There aren't any remixes without using original sounds, so that's why it's a creative cover/remake/rework (just using the vocals).

p.s. as for me, cover is more difficult work than remix, cause you have to invent and record all sounds yourself, not only mix the multitrack 'in audacity'
It is possible for a pro to get it wrong.
And it's impossible for pro label to get it wrong...
This is some sick work Acyde! :)

As mean as it sounds, I strongly disagree. t's a label, not a DJ.

So, wikipedia says:

REMIX:
A remix is a piece of media which has been altered from its original state by adding, removing, and/or changing pieces of the item. A song, piece of artwork, book, video, or photograph can all be remixes. The only characteristic of a remix is that it appropriates and changes other materials to create something new. Remix - Creative personal rendition of a song/video. A very successful remix was Paul Oakenfold (Perfecto)'s Remix of U2's Even Better Than The Real Thing.

COVER,REWORK or REMAKE:
In popular music, a cover version or cover song, or simply cover, is a new performance or recording of a previously recorded, commercially released song by someone other than the original artist or composer.

My track was intended to be a remix, I didn't have the stems of the song though.
I am not a pro, and dont know which one of you is right.
But this forum is for discussions too, right?
This is some sick work Acyde! :)
Thanks B4CKW4RD! It was a lot of work to make the song!

Leche, are you kidding?
If you think that recording label like Warner can mistake, just read Acyde's message...

Unfortunately, label sets the rules, not we, who have <1000 followers on soundcloud, and not we, whose music isn't on a radio or in monstercat (that was an example) podcasts...
ACYDE, if you had been trying to just make different version (remix) of the track using the original sounds, and then made all synths yourself, it's more like a creative cover/remake/rework...

And, ... Oh, I has said that previously
