Mine seems to have no trigger. It happens in song editor during playback. Reloading the project cuts off the sound for mine, but it keeps happening every time I play the song.

Do the developers a favor: download a screencapture program and record yourself using LMMS and try to catch the glitch, then upload it to YouTube or something. I use OBS Studio for my live streams, so I'll leave the link to that:

That could be helpful, but i still like to know:

.. with 'skipping' do you mean you move the playhead with the mouse??, and is it in piano-roll, or song-editor ?

Yes, primarily while trying to loop back to hear a segment over again while editing it. Song editor.
