Oh yes i do also really want to know if you have portAudio and -not- SDL on a windows-pc.

especially because of

I did try it. For me it sounds perfectly normal in both AFP and Sample Track and also in Windows Media Player. That's on LMMS v1.1.3 on Windows 7 or 10.

Can you try it in a different program, WMP or perhaps Audacity ? Do the basic LMMS samples (in My Samples) play normally? Try something like latin_guitar01.ogg.

BTW what operating system and LMMS version are you using ? Seems like there's something very odd going on.

That's a strange problem you had there. Glad you fixed it but I'd still like to know what OS and LMMS version you're using. On my Windows machines I can't set PortAudio if I try. The usual preferred Windows setting of SDL is the only that it will take.
