Welcome to the forum anthony3dh! Here are all our important links:

So trouble with lag and crashing.
When you transferred your lmms installation from your old labtop, what did you do?
If you copied everything, then there could e conflicts.

So in yuor case, what i would do was to completely remove lmms, that include the config DOT file too!
http://lmms.io/wiki/index.php?title=LMM ... h_Settings

Then after you are sure nothing is left of previous installs get a fresh 1.1.3 and

* Copy old !!! OWN !!! stuff to a USB from your old labtop
-Preserve folders so you know the correct names

* make a brand new lmms installation on the new hd
* choose SDL for device and a latency ~145 ms
* perhaps test that. I there suggest loading the factory project

Demos/ Skiessi/Onion.mmpz

and see that this demo runs perfect

If everything is fine

* copy OWN stuff into the corresponding folders in the new installation
Do NOT copy folders like locale and the other ones made by lmms, and with factory content -Only your OWN presets samples projects -Eg the files you use to safety-copy..

That should be smooth sailing all through, and if the install worked fine with the demo, i would expect it to be fine after the process too.

Keep us updated :)

I've tried changing it for 145.1 like you said. It didn't change anything at all. The sound is perfectly fine tho, everything that the program is suppose to do (place sound and then play it) is doing it's job. It's the rest that's lagging. It would be like going on YouTube where, the video and sound of the videos are working according to what is expected of them, but when you try posting a comentary or liking a video, the whole site would freaze or overlay video over one another on the suggestion side of the site. Wich is pretty much what LMMS does for me. The right-click box stop working and showing, then all the icons on the far left of the program (ex: My project) start overlaying on eachother and obscuring one another in a manear that never occured with LMMS. I am still able to click on the music notes in the piano roll, but each of them apear at random intervall, almost as if the program didn't register the actions in time or as if it was in a slow pace. Everything become some kind of a cluster, to the point where it become unsusable afther about a minute or so. I try cleaning up everything I installed about the program on the computer but nothing is changing.

Hi, can you please provide some information about your new computer? Which cpu and how many ram. At next I want you to stress an other program to see if the problems are addressed to lmms or to your system. Runs everything fine except of lmms?

Please open lmms and provoke the lagging. Open the task manager (ctrl + alt + delete) and look in the processes which process causes the problem. There's one process that causes a high cpu usage. I want to know the name.

Let me get this perfectly clear
You say
like you said
So you:
* Complete rermoved -everything- incl the DOT-file
* made a brand new install
* set latency to 145
* opened and played Skiesi' Onion
And Onion replays perfect
Can you confirm?

If so then the problem is not with lmms, and Barra is correct.
Some strange things takes place on your new pc
What about games and other programs, does everything else run perfect?
As Barra says, provide info about you pc, you can use this tool:
http://www.driverscloud.com/en/features
That info plus a screenshot of your task-manager where you sort the running processes so max-use-CPU is on TOP
