Fade outs or fade ins, or drops, that transition into the next part of the music track, might work in these cases.
There are many different ways you could do this. Or you could go the creative route, and do your own thing. :D
For now I am happy, I have some fade ins and some transitions, and two snares rolls.

Hope to upload something is a day or two.

Then you're very welcome to nitpick on details. :)
Yay! 8-)

Its almost mandatory in trance.
Filter? :)
I saw musikbear mentioning that.
You mean like high pass filter and lowpass filter? :)
Or something completely different?

A sweep is just a movement of a setting over time in a controlled manner
I made a tut years ago, and now lmms has much more options in respect to bind dials in vst's too, but the technique is still valid:

snare or maybe hat-rolls are slow accelerated paced builds where also velocity increases, up to a maximum intensity and high velocity
I do one in my wip

from 4:30 to 4:50

be Playful with it, make it as catchy as the instruments. Think how often you have liked a track because of the great rythmics, so 'just' having a beat-line running with the track (i know you dont do that:), is not going to sound great. Most composers do something every 16. or even 8. bar, like a tiny roll or as i like to do, some hat-variations, but just be playful, and it will work

Yep those are the ones. That how they make the sound muffled and then build up.

Thank you. I had already some small variation, to the kicks, but now I know what to do, to spice it up a bit more.
Although I like my percussion it needs more. :)

Its funny when, I started on the drum rolls I noticed I had not even used snares.

Notice right at the start how the music first sounds muffled then it gets clear. ( right) sounding.

That the kind of filter musicbear and me are talking about.

I think this song is one of the best examples of the use of those filters.
Its not trance though.
Here is an example. A low pas filter on the master channel.
The cut off frequency of the filter automated in the song editor. ( from a cut off to no cutt-off at all.)

I used the Glame Low Pass filter.

Ahhh. I see what you're talking about Gps.
So I was right on track then. :)

And it sounds great!
Mostly you wont set filters on Master, though, but choose a separate part like a kick, or the arps. Just listen to your favourite tracks, and hear what they do the one single specific element, all through the song.

Interesting, and I will. I was for now under the impression everything was muffled so to say, that's why I picked the master channel.

But will do as you advice and listen some more to trance, to see how others do it.
