Your progression is fine! It is a super compilation. Great tracks, and yes it is a lovely sub-genre of trance. The other night i went through 'genres of trance' in wikipi, and there are a lot :p

It might be my inexperience, but when I listen to most trance I do not notice much chord progression at all, or nothing more then up and back down.
Something far more simple then what I have.

Or is the difference between this and my track, that my chord progression kicks in almost right from the start, and in the 7days and one week, it only kicks in after the intro ? at 0.40 ?

I think a library could be very interesting, but not easy to make.

In 7days you have a lead-in for the dj, thats not important, just dj friendly :p
Then at :40 the arp (here a repeater-arp) enters with the first melody element.
He repeats that element twice, and then he reveals his chord-progression at :47.
The arp-melody 'moves' to a new chord. That is also a chord-progression, from the arp- chord at :40 to a new at :47, and then he nicely build on this progression and creates the full melody.
At least, thats my understanding :)

I am willing to admit that is it is for me hard to know what genre something it. Some are easy but others....

Latest version, I am for now happy with it. Still thinking about those kicks, I would like to have them more present.

There is however (IMO) a few things.
You should not use a variation on the kick. Kick in trance is almost just that >duf duf duf<, only where the kick will be taken out (breakdowns) you typically find some either missing kick-hits, some doubled, or both -(even maybe a kind of 'kick-roll' with an effect.)

1:21 you have one of these percussion variations, where the kick stops, and stuff happens to hats snare rides and more
This variation 'invites' pads
the 1:46 next variation, both melody and percuss.
This variation 'invites' a key-shift
2:17 again a break of the kick and stuff happens to hats snare rides and more
This time the 'invite' is to the continuous 'rough' sound effect
But listen how subtle it is. Lesson here: Dont overdo it!
The best is when the listener has to hear the track many times before all the variations are heard
Yes this IS difficult! I have not managed it yet, even though i kind of know what i am looking for -And 'The wall' is ofcause a masterpiece :)

I made those kick variations, because I thought that was what you meant, by more variation in the percussion. LOL
So the variation needs to be in the hats and or snares ? ( at least for trance ?)

Although I am starting to see that the bass line and percussion, are what makes it trance disco or reggae, I still struggle the most with the drums.

Why is my breakdown not a real breakdown though ? Too much happening in what I call the breakdown? Or is it the transition into the breakdown?

About some variations not being subtle enough, I totally agree. I think that the snares are too loud at some parts. I am already using automation on the volume so that should be an easy fix.

Primo Lux - The Wall, that is a very good example of the type of trance I am aiming for. I will have to listen to this a few times, but I think I already hear the first time, what you mean
His or her changes are more subtle. His bass line (arpeggio) is also very interesting. Its a type of bassline I am trying to make.
I think I also hear, that its off beat ? You also mentioned something about that in a previous comment.

Totally don't like the scrape, bark ? sound (at 2.20), but I do like this track a lot.
