That is a nice track :)

Watching this vid, I might have found my bassline.

It might change still but now I have the one with three notes and one note a note higher at the end of the bar.

To be continued :P
What do you guys think ?

Sound more trance to me again. I have to get used to this bass line though, the original is burned in to my memory, but I think this is much better.
The bass-line Is off beat, but 2 and 4 are also used. Then I moved one note up to make it into a loop. :P

To sum up what I learned, a trance bass-line is often off beat, and to make trance you need to make loops.
really like the new start!
I marked 3 things that i belive could make it better, but thats imo, remember that!

'boom here' : Add a real thundering boom, and make a rest. That will 'sell' the next part of the track to the listener - like NOW something great happens

lead filter The lead that is well known now, 'steals' the new instrument and melody variation, but if you filter the lead over time, then you put all interest back on the new part! Understand?

buildup+boom+(rest) After your breakdown, it would be great with a buildup where you filter the lead back in, and escalate f.i. with a roll, but something that can introduce the euphoria end-part of the track

Btw great subtle variations on the pluck notes in the track, those delayed notes works very well!
Thank you again for the great feedback. :)
One small question.

Boom as in a real explosion sound, or a snare roll ? Or both ?

Or an example ?

Really like you're suggestions. Those should finish the track.
Nice start up. :D
I like the fade down too from 1:10 to 1:15 secs. And then the track continues. 8-)
Nice work on the note variations.
I like that rapid sounding background synth melody too.
Sounding good.
You're definitely on to something here Gps. :D

Suggestion: I suggest adding a reverb to the clap sound, used at the start up, to make it spread out
and reverberate a bit. :)

like a thunder-clap

Take a really tuff kick
add plate-reverb
turn amp up to yellow, perhaps a tiff red. Its alone in the mix, so a clip does not count.
But highend recordings of real thunder is used too

@ 4:09 the breakdown ends, and i uses a boom to set like a punctuation, and introduce the main melody part of that track

You can also use a serious huge crash, but i prefer booms :p

Thank you, but reveberate ? que ?

I remember removing some reverb on that clap, maybe I over did it. :)

Thank you, now I get it. :)

When somebody says funk to me , the below vid is a nice example of the type of (disco) funk I think of first, 70 ties funk.

What makes this funk I think, is the guitar joining at 30 sec, but maybe Musicbear has something to say about that. :)

While typing this I start to wonder lol.
Should I cover and or make a trance version of this. Just "borrow" the loops that come in at 18 and 35 seconds :P

Love that guitar loop even though its prob not a real loop.
Then that bass slap ( drools again )

( for trance and modern edm the trumpet will have to go, way to complicated tune ;) )

I had a look and listen to the reverb on the clap.

Turned some dials up, and it does sound better.
I had at one point to much reverb on too many instruments and now went at least for that clap to much the other way.
Not so easy to find the right balance.

Now this part of the feedback :)

I was already not sure about what I call the second breakdown. The part were you say lead filter ( also on soundcloud.) :)

Then the boom part. :)
