I think I am gonna re release all tracks I made without easy Q.

Especially Biscaya. The accordion vst I used has something in the sound I never liked. I can maybe cut that away with easy q.
Or at least make it harder to hear.

ZynaddsubFx has a bass sound that with EasyQ (smiley curve) really comes alive.

Watched a mixing tutorial, I believe it was called 10 mistakes everybody makes.
Its also about boosting the high end. You should have the graph dip down at the most right.

That sounds very interesting to watch. It could teach us, alot of things, tips and tricks.

Here ya go: He is not using lmms, but that does not matter for what he is telling us.
We can use easy Q and blue cat frequency analyst.
Be careful with that last one though, I have read about it causing problems, if you safe the track with this plugin, in the song on Windows.
So first make a second copy of the song, add a 2 or something to the name, and try it.
For me on linux is does not cause any real problems, but it does make lmms less stable.
(it crashes more often) I should not complain though, if you think about it, its almost a miracle I can use some windows files on linux in the first place.

Well this making music, cant get out of hand enough.
It would be awesome if I could make a living out of it.

But for now its about having fun, and I most happy, that when I compare my earlier track with my later tracks, I can hear I am getting better.

I will try my best to make a living out of it in the future.

When I started getting satisfied from my projects, composing became more of an addiction then a hobby.

I know that feeling too, from personal experience. And it feels awesome.
What makes it even more exciting, is that sometimes, you never know what melody/musictrack is going to pop up in your head, before or after, you open Lmms.

I believe it's the fact that what you make can be so unexpected, is why it's so addicting. I recently made a remix of "The Lawnmower" by Aryay, and the finished project was nothing like what it first was.

Conclusion: Composing is still awesome

Time for an update on my struggle

I hate mixing and mastering, but as before, never give up never surrender.
For now it is a struggle for sure, with not yet the result I want. Still the feedback on and of the forum proofs, I am still getting better.

On the bright site, I am some times shocked how much my musical hearing has improved.
Not 100% sure if I could do with out the mark current scale option yet, but I am getting there.

The latest track, I am working on was supposed to be a trance track. That did not turn out as trance at all.
Although I am prob gonna release this, when I think its done, or needs feedback, I watched a few vids of people making trance.

Then I compared what they were doing, to my track.

My chord progression was to fast, and the notes used to short.
They were so short there was no room to insert an octave lower or higher other notes to make this trance bounce effect.
The get a fast melody, I had also used many notes.

So I kinda started over, with the same chord progression, but instead of 1/16 notes 1/8 notes.
Watching those vids I also noticed (one guy in fruity loops and another guy in lmms) that their base patern, was 8 counts long were mine was only 4 counts.

And suddenly out of the ashes came a trance melody.

Slowly I am starting to see, what was "wrong" with my first tracks. All notes the same length, but worse evenly spaced.

The fruity loops guy. Some stuff he does makes me nervous, He does not have all notes an octave lower or higher all the time. He clearly uses his ears, but I remember watching those vids and wondering why they changed stuff, but I am starting to hear why.

Both vids proof to me my progress. I had watched vids like this before, but I did not understand really what they were doing.
Nor could I hear yet, why they changed the notes up or down.
