How to Create Trance Rolling Basslines

Interesting tut. I like the beat too.
Strangely, it sounds like he used 2 different bass sounds together.

Speaking about bass sounds:
I'll be uploading a small Wip demo, of the long awaited Pipe guy inspired bass sound, sometime tomorrow. :)
Hopefully soundcloud doesn't give me any problems. :P
It was really hard to make. No joke. Lol!
If it sounds good, I'll post the tutorial, on how to make it.
If not, then I'll work harder on it.
So look out for it. :)

I just had a listen, to the pipe sound and damn it sounds good. Well done, it really has a pipe sound.

I am wondering if you can add some kind of clap to emulate his slippers ?

Thanks Gps. 8-)

Yep. I was think about doing that.
I'll try and improve the sound a bit, than add a clap and reupload it to soundcloud, then make a tut on the Pipeguy sound.

Slippers? Yes it is. 8-)
Or as they call it in Australia,.......a pair of Flip Flops mate. He! He! 8-)

I had to google to make sure :) but yeah flip flops lol

I love that sound already though, but remembered from the vid you could hear him hitting the pipes.

And about this

For months I was frustrated because I could not get any fat bassline from LMMS.

To put it simple don't use just one synth.

In my latest trance track there is a bassline, but the melody synth plays the same notes, ( maybe one or two octave higher )

Yep. I learnt that the hard way too.
The other hard part sometimes, is making two basses that work well with each other.
And not blank/muffle each other out too much. Lol! :P

Ahh. That makes sense. :)
You did that because, you didn't want similar note pitches, to clash with each other. Smart move. :)

Also, speaking about basses, check out the bass in this famous old school 90's house track.
Mr. Vain https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7hoDjhniOqA
It really has an interesting sound to it. And it really stands out in the track too.

Speaking of Mr. Vain, I must admit, strange song, and strange name for a track. Lol! :P
But yet, it has a strangely cool, yet partially dark, eeriely surreal sound and feel to it. :P

Arrrhhh :] in YOUR head you hear an 'interesting bass' ... b u t ... :[ w-h-e-r-e- (grumpy-cat-meeme here :´)

Do set time-stamps for the exact pos in linked files :P !

And one more thingie..
Culture-Beat never ever managed to do a house-track, CB is SO euro-poppy-dance as they possible come. We may even be in chewing-gum-dance/pop territory, partying like crazy, with spiked red sodas, 12 years 'grownups', Aqua and these gals from my home-area .. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XTjJ2_P5P4U

:)
cute as kittens ..in one of the weirdest vids -ever- ..

Lol! My mistake, I put the wrong genre. :P
There were two vids i was going to post, but instead, I put up one.
The other was 90's house.

If were gonna post fat basslines, how about this one. It was one of my online friends who pointed me to this. :p

We also had a talk if it was clipping or not, its really on the edge or just over it.

Warning especially for people with woofers.
Timmy Trumpet - Freaks (Original)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GLe6hEC0zg

And LOL at that vid, I do like repetitive music but don't like that one at all.

and headphones (!)

it is not difficult to get that dangerously fat bass.
Any sawwave*square bass will be able.
add a bit of release. In a bass that only goes on offbeat, a bit of release is not too bad
Then LP filter the output as hard as you can, you just need to barely hear the sound
Now it gets -dangerous- !
Insert a post-amplifier! Boost the sound until your grannys false dentals starts to sound like castanets :P
Or your house cave in
Honestly be careful!
Woofers can die in a puff of shattered carbon and cobberwire
Ears; less carbon, more blood

Interesting, a saw wave. And about the release, If I had mixed that track I would prob make that release a tad shorter (Timmy Trumpet), but that might have to do with my gaming headset. (Sennheiser pc 160)
