Mpc-like plugin or set keys to channels in midi keyboard.

Anything that doesn't fit into other topics goes here!

So.. :) Maybe somebody have another interesting ideas ? I cant belive here isnt any free gnu/linux program/plugin who supposed me to making musing in way what i want, its impossible ! :P
I don't use anything that requires wine, or any windows apps.
Some of my music is a combination, of LMMS presets, and midi sound fonts..
A few pieces are from, self made sample files.
This piece was made using samples of my Native American flutes.

Okay but u have fpc-like plug-in or program ? Im need program/plugin where can i assign chosen key to chosen sample and can play this in real time and record this, u have that option ?
How about http://drumkv1.sourceforge.net/drumkv1-index.html.
GPL license, Foss, you can make 'kits' out of samples, basically loading different samples per slot which are assigned to a different midi key. You'll need the lv2 version, and load it through carla-git (both available in kxstudio repositories, or build yourself). No slicing, however.

C_h: thanks for the short-curcuit VST recommendation. It works well as a sampler and slicer, just what I needed, but it crashes a lot when I load it through Vestige. Loading it through the carla-bridge-wine32 seems more stable.
hmmm its looks interesting, today or day after i wanna to install "musix" a free distribution for makin musics and maybe there i try this program what u recommend to me, maybe i can set it with lmms, but dont know where and how to start but i try to read more about that program, thanks ! after i try this i write results to this topic of course :)

Nice piece of kit isn't it?
Loads of fun for sound design.
Here is something that looks interesting. A LV2 drum-sampler with 16 pads. Kind of looks like a MPC.

Fabla from OpenAV.

This program loks veeery fine, like fpc plugin fro fl but... But i dont know how to make him work with lmms... i trying with ardour but i have errors when running ardour... Anybody knows how to do fabla work with lmms ?
C_h: Fabla looks nice but I can 't load samples. I can load the 4 presets (looks like 4 Hydrogen drumkits -- "Eastern Hop"). Can anyone else "load a sample"? Can't seem to drag n' drop or bring up a file browser, but could just be my desktop environment. Anyway, its only OpenAV plugin that doesn't crash lmms, so that's nice.

_user: to load Fabla (or any other lv2 plugin, like "drumkv1"), you'll need to install carla-git (e.g., from the kxstudio repos), and Fabla (also in kxstudio). Not sure if you need to reinstall lmms, but with a successful install of Carla you'll now have two new instruments in the LMMS plugin-navigator: "Carla Rack" and "Carla Patchbay". Add a new Carla Rack as a track, and click "show gui". This should bring up Carla. Click "+ Add plugin", which brings up a new browser, click "refresh" to get Carla to scan for your plugins (making sure that you have 'lv2' clicked and 'instruments' active). After the scan, you should see Fabla to load.
Okay i will try this way but dunno when cuz now i dont have time at all, but in few days i try and write here results.
No idea how it works. It looks like a Linux only plug-in.

The Calf Studio Gear is something I'd like to use but that also looks like Linux only (a bit off topic now).
